On November 12, 2016, six area students competed in the VEX Robotics Competition at the College of Southern Maryland in LaPlata Maryland.  St. John School students were members of the two teams that tied for first place out of 24 teams!

Leah and John Offut of the Jake Offutt Foundation recently presented a bench to St. John School in honor of their son who passed away at the age of 15 from brain cancer.

SJS Eagles did not let a little cold weather and snow on the ground stop them from having a fun and colorful Mardis Gras March 5K!  The Carroll County Times was on hand to interview participants and snap a few photos. Students help adds up!

This year St. John students calculated thousands of math problems to raise $6,430 in conjunction with the Math-A-Thon. To date, the school has raised $99,590 in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

SJS collects soup for the Souper Bowl

St. John students have "Souper Bowl"

In celebration of the AFC win by the Baltimore Ravens, St. John students came up with the idea of hosting a "souper bowl".  They collected 616 cans of soup for the area needy.

St. John School unveils new mascot - the Mighty Eagle!

At its very first Pep Rally, the school unveiled its new "eagle" mascot.  Students dressed in green and gold spirit wear. The event served as the official kick-off for the School's first annual 5K Walk and FUND run that was held in October!

St. John School awarded $30,000 Knott Grant. St. John Catholic School received a grant from the Knott Foundation to complete an environmentally friendly renovations.
