Powerschool is a web-based student information system that keeps records of students’ grades, attendance, class schedules, and other pertinent information. Powerschool generates progress reports which are distributed three times a year to students in Grades 1-8.
Through Parent Access parents are able to view grades and assignments for students in Grades 3-8 at any time.
At the beginning of each school year at the Back-to-School PTF meeting, brochures explaining Powerschool and Parent Access are given to parents of new students in Grades 4-8 and to parents of all third graders. They also receive usernames and passwords for their children at this time.
Usually these usernames and passwords do not change from year to year. However, for the school year 2009-2010, all students in Grades 3-8 will receive new usernames and passwords which will be given to parents at the Back-to-School meeting.
Parent Access will close for the summer beginning the week of June 15 and will re-open in mid-September.
